Mr. Tanimura Atsushi (Eddie) is currently the Director and Chief Operating Officer of City-OG Gas Energy Services. He is also the Vice President of Osaka Gas Singapore.
Mr. Tanimura joined Osaka Gas in 1994 and he has wide range of experience in energy industry from local to international. Prior to his appointment, he was General Manager of Corporate Research Office in Secretariat Department to support executives. Between 2011 and 2016, he based in New York and Houston, USA as Vice President of OGUSA. He led business development activity to find investment opportunity in generation sector as well as local gas distribution.
Mr Tanimura has successfully led Osaka Gas to participate in the UAE IWPP (Independent Water and Power Producer) project (Shuweihat 2) and South Australian wind firm (Hallet 4) by undertaking a capital respectively, while he was Manager in International Energy & Resources Business Unit between 2008 and 2011.
Mr. Tanimura holds a Master of Business Administration from International University of Japan (including exchange program in London Business School) and Bachelor degree of Law at Kobe University.
Mr Perry Ong is currently the Director of City-OG Gas Energy Services. He is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of City Energy Pte Ltd, as trustee of City Energy Trust.
Mr Ong brings with him more than 29 years of experience in entrepreneurship, marketing and general management to City Energy. Before joining City Energy, he has been CEO at NTUC Foodfare Co-operative Ltd since 2008, where he grew NTUC Foodfare to be one of the largest F&B operators in Singapore today. During his tenure at NTUC Foodfare, he led several key growth initiatives, including the acquisition of the Kopitiam Group of companies and Wang Café.
Before that, Mr Ong held various leadership positions in other leading food services companies in Singapore. Mr Ong has served on the Singapore National Co-operative Federation as its Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Audit Committee. He was also the Chairman of the Self Reliance Committee of the Central Development Council (CDC) Singapore which oversaw the disbursement of financial aids to the poor and needy.
Mr Perry Ong holds an MBA (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham in the UK and has completed the Advanced Management Programme from INSEAD.
Hirabayashi Motoyuki (Moto)
Mr Hirabayashi Motoyuki (Moto) is currently the Director of City-OG Gas Energy Services. He is also the President & CEO of Osaka Gas Singapore.
Mr. Hirabayashi joined Osaka Gas in 1992 and he has over 20 years of rich experience in energy resources and international business. Prior to his appointment, Mr Hirabayashi was General Manager of Energy Recourses Development Department of Osaka Gas and he was responsible for the upstream investment activities in North America (onshore shale gas projects) and Norway (offshore oil and gas fields). Between 2006 and 2010, he based in Perth, Western Australia as Vice President of Osaka Gas Australia and has successfully led Osaka Gas to participate in the Gorgon LNG project, one of the world’s largest LNG projects.
Mr Hirabayashi holds Bachelor of Economics at Osaka University and completed the Stanford – National University of Singapore Executive Program in International Management.
Director and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Christopher Tan is currently the Director and Chief Financial Officer of City-OG Gas Energy Services. He is also the Vice President (Finance & IT Division) at City Energy concurrently, a position he has held since April 2010.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Tan served as Director, Group Reporting and Corporate Finance at Neptune Orient Lines Limited (NOL). He has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry since starting his career in audit with Ernst & Young offices in Singapore, Malaysia and China. Since then, he has held senior appointments at several companies including Mapletree Investments Group.
Mr. Tan holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School, University of Reading and graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. Mr Tan was also awarded second placing in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Examination.
Mr Tan is currently a Fellow Chartered Accountant in Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Mr Tan also awarded with the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA) in year 2017.
